Summer Vacation Countdown: 16 Days!

Seeing Ragamuffinz journal update has finally convinced me to get up off my lazy ass and actually change what's on here! Now then, down to business!

Braces. I can't believe I'm getting braces. It's not that I hate that I'm getting them; nope. I've actually wanted them since 7th grade. But What I DO hate is the fact that it's taken my current dentist SO. FREAKING. LONG. to finally say, "Okay, you need them!". Seriously, I've had other dentists telling me I need them for my overbite for years. And it's taken this douchebag a year and a half to finally write up an ortho. recommendation. His reason? "I didn't think you were old enough."..... I'm 16. Most kids get braces at 12, even 11. What the hell are you SMOKING?

But wait, there's more! Now I go to my orthodontist and get my teeth x-rayed. It's all good; right? I have an obvious overbite, yes? It'll only take 2 and a half years and a pulled tooth to fix it! It shouldn't take that long for an overbite! "Duck" teeth? Yes. Overbite? HELL NO.

Right on over into my senior year of high school and beyond! I'll have 'em on at prom and graduation! To those who know me, I may sound superficial and whiny about this whole thing. But still... *cries*

Oh well, no stopping it now. Going to get my spacers this weekend. Then I get my braces on the top teeth on the 17th. I'll have to sit in a chair for over 2 hours while they put them on. Then, after 3-4 months I get to go get a tooth pulled and braces put on the bottom for the remaining 2 years. Joy!
